Tahini Protein Bars

Ingredients

Tahini Layer

  • 3/4 cup tahini
  • 2/3 cup vanilla whey protein
  • 1/4 cup xylitol (or other sweetener)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/8 cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Chocolate Layer

  • 75 g baking chocolate
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp xylitol (or other sweetener)

Instructions

Tahini Layer

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, add the tahini, whey protein, xylitol, egg, oil, almond flour, and baking powder. Stir between each ingredient.
  • Bake for 18 minutes.

Chocolate Layer

  • In a small microwavable bowl, add the chocolate, and oil. Microwave for 1-2 minutes until fully melted.
  • Once the tahini layer is done, let it cool for a few minutes and pour the chocolate mixture on top. Chill in the refrigerator for a few hours.
